“I’ll stop reading after I finish this chapter.” If you’re like me, you’ve uttered this phrase so many times that it has become a cliché. No one believes me anymore.
I’ve been hooked on reading since “Ernie’s Big Mess.” That was a tear-jerker. And ever since I can remember, books have been a big part of my life. I’d run away to wherever was quiet (a tree, a closet, the bathroom…) and try to avoid anyone who wanted me to put down the book and play with my sister or other kids.
This back story is really just to say: I’m like you! If you’ve stumbled here, you’re just like me! You love to get lost in strange new worlds and fall in love with characters and think about all of the magical thoughts contained within a book.
So let’s be friends.
